The Wakanheza Project™

Wakanheza is the Dakota Indian word for child; in English its translation is "Sacred Being.” In Saint Paul and Ramsey County, and in communities across Minnesota and the United States, the power of the word Wakanheza has been combined with simple principles and practices that change the way we act toward children, young people, families and each other. With an aim to heighten this awareness, the presenter will offer scenarios of how to deal with conflict every day and how to achieve conflict resolution.
